Carrie is ready, willing and able to cheerfully help order inventory for our 4 locations. “I love how friendly and understanding everyone at Preston Feather is,” Carrie explains. “I grew up in Petoskey, attended Petoskey schools and my dad is a builder. Preston Feather has always been there for us. Now I work here!” Carrie has many years’ experience owning and managing her own daycare business. Juggling multiple priorities is second nature to her. When she’s home, Carrie enjoys spending time with family, reading, gardening and playing cards.

Contact Chris at 231-439-5836 Chris Brake joined the purchasing team overseeing the assortment tools and hardware in all four stores. Prior to this move, Chris was part of the “Front Line” customer service team in the Petoskey store. He believes the only dumb question is one not asked. People are not afraid to ask Chris anything about building materials, tools and hardware. In his career prior to Preston Feather Building Centers, Chris held a variety of customer service positions for a variety of employers. He likes his job at Preston Feather primarily for the people he meets daily and the fun he has with them. There’s always something new happening, whether it is a new project, a new product or a new person to meet. Chris grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and Cheboygan, Michigan attending Cheboygan schools, North Central Michigan College and Lake Superior State University. He currently lives in Cheboygan with his wife and two beautiful children. When he’s not having fun at work, he’s having fun with family and friends.

Contact Katherine at 989-448-2857 Katherine Spreeman has been with Preston Feather Building Centers since 2004, joining us with many years experience designing homes and buildings. She describes her responsibilities as problem solver, drawing plans with architectural and structural detail to meet the customer’s needs and wants. Katherine greatly enjoys meeting various people and having the independence to design their home. “Customers are my priority - without them I wouldn’t be here,” she says, “the professionalism and respect every customer receives is a great aspect of working at Preston Feather.” Katherine received a B.S. degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, MI, and holds certification as a Wood Foundation Designer. Building design has been her career for over 15 years. When not creating great spaces for her clients, Katherine can be found spending time with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys the great out doors when the weather is right, and scrap booking when the weather is not.
